Real Bull City Wedding: Duke Gardens + The Pit

Real Bull City Wedding: Duke Gardens + The Pit

What do you do when you live more than 500 miles from the town you are planning your wedding?  You get a wedding planner, stat.  The Details Events couldn't be more thrilled to have their stars align with Anna and Tom, they were so special to work with.  They have worked through lots of long distance and career changes and Anna serves in the military, and you can tell their bond is rock solid and they find joy and humor in it all.  The couple and planning company worked really hard for about a year planning their special day from near and far.  They had major planning sessions when they could come into town and worked with their vendors really closely so that it all went off with the only hitch being Anna and Tom saying I do!

This wedding day was all Durham, all day.  It was sweet, romantic, Southern and full of love!

The wedding weekend kicked off with a rehearsal dinner at Mateo Tapas and concluded with a welcome party for guests at Cuban Revolution that included some freestyle salsa dancing and drinks.  The bridal party woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed at 21c Museum Hotel and began the preparations for the day with their photographer, Alicia Osbourne Photography.

They enjoyed an intimate ceremony at the fish pond of Duke Gardens following their first look.  A good friend was their officiant and the music portion was by Justin Hoke, an acoustic guitarist.

Immediately following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the rooftop at The Pit - Durham.  Music was provided by a friend who is a DJ and while the guests mingled they had the opportunity to make a unique guest book of polaroid photos.  Table top decor was by The Details Events, including floral design using flowers from Pine State Flowers and custom table runners.
